Via Christi Clinic provides a great work environment. We offer employee recognition, programs and company activities. We also encourage our employees to participate in community activities, whether as part of Team Via Christi Clinic, or on their own.
Via Christi Clinic’s Employee of the Month
Each month Via Christi Clinic recognizes an Employee of the Month. Employees are recognized within their area of work with a presentation including managers, human resources, and often members of senior management. Recognition of these employees is also announced to the entire organization so everyone knows who is contributing above and beyond with their co-workers and patients!
Bravos/Rock Stars
Via Christi Clinic has a special section of our internal website devoted to recognizing employees for contributing above and beyond. Every other week one submission is included in the newsletter that is sent to physicians, providers and managers. Bravos and Rock Stars are submitted by patients, visitors, co-workers, and managers, and reflect the perspectives of every type of person our employees see. We encourage people to submit Bravos to our Human Resources department via phone, e-mail or snail mail so that we can recognize and inspire our employees to provide great service.
Employee Anniversaries
Via Christi Clinic recognizes employees’ longevity with recognition parties at each location for every five years in service. Employees are recognized in front of their co-workers for their tenure with Via Christi Clinic. We are very fortunate to have employees that are committed to our organization, and proud to have employees that have been here for their entire career!
Jeans Days
The first Friday of each month is designated as a Jeans Day throughout Via Christi Clinic. Clinic employees sign up in advance and pay $5 for the privilege of wearing jeans on that day. The money raised is then donated to a local non-profit organization like the American Heart Association, the Kansas Food Bank or United Way.
Team Via Christi Clinic
We have created Team Via Christi Clinic as a way to bring our employees together to work towards better health. While we hope to continue expanding the idea of Team Via Christi Clinic to include all aspects of good health, we started with participating in four local non-profit walks/runs in 2009. Employees that signed up to participate walked or ran together at these events and wore Team Via Christi Clinic t-shirts. In 2010 Team Via Christi Clinic participated in March of Dimes’ March for Babies, Walk MS (Multiple Sclerosis), American Heart Association’s Heart Walk, and Susan G. Komen’s Race for the Cure.
In addition to the activities listed above, Via Christi Clinic has other opportunities for employees to have a great time at work, including participating in National Start! Walking Day and monthly employee activities. Many of the different departments and locations also have seasonal activities like Halloween costume contests, chili cook-offs, and fundraising for local charities. |
